People typically have more tolerance for a sweet-looking pet which might hinder them from starting Bichon Frise Training right away. Although it is reasonable to allow your cuddly companion to roam around and investigate its new surroundings, dog training must still remain high on the priority list. Give a day or two for adjustment, after which, lessons must start. If it is your first time to have a pet, ask the breeder for some tips and instructions.

Owners who know how to be consistent will not have a problem training their dogs. Of course, it also wouldn’t hurt to be prepared. The best place to train Bichon puppies is indoors and with an appropriately-sized cage. It must be big enough to house an adult Bichon that can move and turn freely. Place a rug or towel to comfort the puppy. It will take some more time for the chewing stage to end so try not to shower your Bichon with too many expensive toys.

The first step in your Bichon Frise Training is the introduction of the crate. See to it that the space is a pleasant area for eating, sleeping and playing. Do not use this space to punish the puppy. Initially, the dog will protest by howling, crying or whining. Be consistent in saying “No Bark!”, but as soon as the puppy stops crying, praise it with positive feedback. This type of dog training teaches your dog that the crate is its comfort zone or a bedroom. Eventually, the puppy will be comfortable with the new sense of security, it will learn to go come back to this place when it is sleepy or hungry. For owners, the crate is a helpful tool in preventing accidents especially when the Bichon needs to be left alone temporarily. Puppies normally protest when they see their owners leave, but being inside the crate helps and they can be further comforted with toys and blankets. This is better than allowing your pet to roam around the house unsupervised.

Some owners are not comfortable being strict in executing commands. However, we should be reminded that dogs thrive in packs because they have a leader to follow. Dog training follows the same concept. Repetition and consistency of certain commands promise respect and obedience in the following days to come. These dogs can be stubborn but do not doubt the high intelligence that they possess. Never attempt to hit the dog during training. Even a small strike can result to very negative effects on these sensitive dogs.

google_ad_slot = "7594500533";
google_ad_width = 336;
google_ad_height = 280;
//-->

When it comes to Bichon Frise Training for housebreaking, they require repeated trips outside. This is typical of small dog breeds. Observe the behavior of the puppy. When it is time to urinate or defecate, bring the puppy to the allotted area outdoors. Commands like “Go Potty!”, should be delivered sternly and encouragingly. Don’t forget to praise and give affection afterwards but also insert the command. It should sound like: “Good girl, go potty!”. Repeat this several times.

Training and guidance, will make your pet happy and well-balanced. Provide constant affirmation, care and gentle play to your polite and well-mannered Bichon Frise.

Fundamentally, dog training is about communication. From the human perspective, the trainer is communicating to the dog what behaviours are correct, desired, or preferred in what circumstances and what behaviours are undesirable.

A trainer must understand communication from the dog. The dog can signal that he is unsure, confused, nervous, happy, excited, and so on. The emotional state of the dog is an important consideration in directing the training, as a dog that is stressed or distracted will not learn efficiently.

Don’t get frustrated. There will surely be times in your dog behaviour training that you aren’t going to like how things are going. If this happens, stop the training session right away. Your frustration can cause you to want to force the issue and end up taking two steps backward with your progress.

Don’t forget to praise your dog. Dog training should be fun for both you and your dog. Give your dog plenty of praise for performing correct behaviours. Dog training by nature is oppressive; you are asking your dog to submit his will to yours. This can create stress. Praise is a great way to alleviate that stress. A stress-free dog learns quicker and has more fun.

It’s easy, you have to watch them, start as early as possible and never allow them to make mistakes in the house. If the dog has never peed in the house, it’s foreign to suddenly start..

Positive reinforcements can be anything that the dog finds rewarding – special food treats, the chance to play with a tug toy, social interaction with other dogs, or the owner’s attention. The more rewarding a dog finds a particular trainer, the more work he will be prepared to do in order to obtain the trainer. Just being happy about a dog’s accomplishment is a reward to them.

Make sure you always check your dogs hygiene, a healthy dog always give good response to training than unhealthy ones. Experience has shown so many dog illnesses, but, of them all Canine Distemper, is a serious illness and it is recommended that any dog with an acute outbreak should be taken to a holistic or homeopathic vet to monitor treatment. Home treatment of acute Distemper is not advised and Vi-Pro Plus should be used under the supervision of a holistic or homeopathic vet for cases of active Distemper infections. Also for any other contagious illness, the affected dog should be singled out and treated properly.

Parvovirus is a disease that dogs contact very easily if not vaccinated against it. Pups are the most vulnerable for this disease that has created one of the most severe dog health problems. The disease is brought about by a virus that is considered a mutation of the distemper virus. However, the drug companies have been able to develop a vaccine against it.
There is no way that you can save an animal from this type of dog health problems as the virus is everywhere. The only way to save a dog from contacting this disease is to vaccinate it. Pups are the most vulnerable of the dogs to this serious disease of dogs. Once a pup contacts this disease, its chance to survival is only 10%. Due to this reason, Parvovirus is treated as one of the most important dog health problems.
When a dog is affected by Parvovirus, it will get one of the two types of sickness. It could be intestinal parvovirus disease or cardiac parvovirus disease. In case of intestinal parvovirus, the dog will develop diarrhea and with many dogs it could be mixed with blood. In case of cardiac parvovirus there could be cardiac problems and respiratory problems. The basic dog health problems brought about by this disease are the fever, vomiting and weakness due to loss of electrolytes. In addition to this, the dogs develop diarrhea and dehydration. The final result of these symptoms will be the death.
As parvovirus is one of the most dangerous dog health problems, you need to vaccinate your pet at the earliest possible instance. The vaccine is so effective that a vaccinated dog contacting the disease is never heard. Any veterinarian is able to give the vaccine and it is one of the first few vaccines a pup gets in its life. As this is more serious than any other dog health problems, you need to give priority to vaccinating your dog against parvovirus. The booster doses are given after the first vaccine. When you take your dog for these vaccinations, make sure that it doesn’t have any other dog health problems because you cannot vaccinate a sick pup or a dog.

Rabies is by far the most dangerous disease a dog could contact. Spread though the saliva of any infected animal, this disease has no cure. The only way to save your dog from this most dangerous of the dog health problems is to vaccinate it on time. The danger of this disease is that it could be contacted by any mammal and also any infected mammal could transmit the disease to humans through a bite or licking an open wound.

Though there are some countries that have completely eliminated the rabies virus, there are some countries where rabies is still prevalent. In such countries, all dogs should be vaccinated as this deadly disease could affect humans also. Due to these reasons rabies is treated as one of the gravest dog health problems.

When a rabid dog bites a healthy dog that has not been vaccinated against the virus, through the infected dogs saliva the virus enters the body of the healthy animal. Unlike other dog health problems there is hardly anything you could do if a healthy dog that is not being vaccinated is bitten by an infected dog. Though you have vaccines developed for humans there is no cure for this type of dog health problems of dogs. Therefore, if a dog not vaccinated against rabies is bitten by an infected dog, the bitten dog is sure to die.

Once a healthy dog that is not vaccinated against rabies is bitten by a rabid dog, it will develop serious dog health problems after three to eight weeks. The dog will become restless and lethargic. Also normally friendly dog will become aggressive. These symptoms will last only three or four days after which the dog will become aggressive and start biting other dogs and even humans.

At the final stage of this gravest of the dog health problems the dog will lose its balance and will not be able to control its jaws. Finally the death will occur. As rabies is the worst of the dog health problems that brings a painful death to any affected dog, you must never forget to vaccinate your pet.

In this modern day and age of dog training, many types of equipment have been discovered and invented to make the lives of dog trainers easier. Of all these discoveries, there are two that stand out as they prove to be probably the most useful and valuable. These are the radio-controlled dog barking collar and dog training collar. These are the most basic types of equipment that a dog handler would need in order to train a dog. Everything else is just a bonus.

When it comes to dog-training, there are three basic concepts one needs to know: concept of reward or positive reinforcement, punishment, and negative reinforcement. Reward is an incentive for a good behavior; punishment is a reprimand for misbehaving; negative reinforcement is the withdrawal of the punishment when the dog stops misbehaving. Reinforcements are done to increase the likelihood of a dog to do a certain behavior, while a punishment decreases its likelihood. These three are the most important concepts in dog training.

Dog training collar provides instant punishment and negative reinforcement to the dogs. With just a push of a button, instant punishment and negative reinforcement -in the form of shock, spray, or an annoying sound and its removal, respectively -can be given. This is probably the most basic dog training equipment, and it might be the only one you will ever need if you are patient. For instance, with this, you can punish your dog for running too far or for barking, such that you don’t have to buy electronic dog fences or a dog barking collar anymore.

But let’s face it: although punishing your dog for running too far is quite easy, pressing the button every time it barks is next to impossible. In this case, the dog barking collar becomes handy. Anti bark collars, as they are more commonly known, receive the dog’s bark through a sensor. Although there are different designs for each sensor, the most common design senses the dog’s throats vibration. Once the dog’s barking is sensed, a punishment is given, depending on the type of collar. Similar to the dog training collar, it can be in the form of a chemical sprayed, a sound emitted or a shock.

With these brands, you can be assured of these 2 attributes.

Radio-operated collars abound in the market today, as they are selling like pancakes, especially in the dog training world. As such, one should be wary of choosing the right brand with the finest technology used in making it. If you buy from a good brand, such as the ones mentioned above, you can be assured of a top-caliber dog training collar and dog barking collar.
