Good dog owners are always bothered with this tricky question – what is the best dog food? Choosing the right one is exhausting task, because shelves of supermarkets and pet stores are full of pet food. But the truth is that canned, dry or semi-moist products aren’t the best dog food. Don’t fall for the commercials; such food will cause health problems to your friend, sooner or later. But what is considered the best dog food then?

It is quite simple – fresh food that you buy for yourself (fresh meat, fish, vegetables, eggs, cotton cheese and etc) IS the best choice for your dog as well. Think about it – dogs never eaten any canned or processed food till 1930s, and they were domesticated almost for 150 centuries already. And the fact is – dogs lived for 16-18 years, because they had a great diet.

But why today’s processed kibble and canned products can’t be considered best dog food? Ingredients are absolutely horrible. Did you know that meat used for “best dog food” can’t pass USDA inspection? Big companies use meat from livestock that is diseased, disabled or already dead when it arrives at the slaughterhouse. Did you know that? And we are not mentioning growth hormones and antibiotics which were injected in the poor livestock to make it grow faster…

Other bad ingredient is the grain. Grains and cereals should not be eaten by dogs, simply because their digestive tracts are not designed for this. Dogs have short and straight digestive tracts that are designed to digest meat. So that’s why even naturally grown corn, soy and wheat aren’t the best dog food, by any means. On top of that, grains used for dog food are unfit for human consumption.

Also pet food companies spray greasy fat on all their products. Without such spray their production would not be considered food by your dog. It’s the smell that encourages him.

And another problem with commercial dog food is preservatives. All three preservatives that are used for “best dog food” are considered toxic, and marked as poison by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). And all 3 are banned in Europe, but not in the US. How about that? Do you still want to feed your beloved dog with poison, on daily basis?!

So we came to the conclusion – you shouldn’t feed your dog with processed food. But what foods are healthy? Here is a short list of best dog food – chicken, beef, turkey, venison, fish, eggs, cottage cheese, vegetables (all kind of, try different to see what your dog likes most), liver, heart, kidney, oatmeal (sometimes) and a lot of other products. Food must be natural, and other than there is not much limitations. You can use a bit of whole grains too, for mineralsvitamins, but you need to pulverize and cook them before serving, for optimal digestion. Also don’t forget about special vitamin/mineral supplements, they are quite important.

Now you know the basics, and understand why it is important to feed your dog only with natural products. But if you want to take this further and make best dog food yourself, at home, go and research this topic in depth.

What if you just can’t keep your dog healthy enough?

I know how hard it can be to drive to veterinarians frequently.
But if you want to really make your dog well and healthy, you’ll need to learn a single method that works amazingly well.

When people first come upon crate training there is always a hesitancy to use them. Some people initially believe that crate training puppies is cruel. The truth however is that crate training puppies is not only safe but it is very useful to your dog. We often lose sight of the fact that dog are wild animals that have been domesticated. That being said, a dog still has a very powerful instinct. Dogs in the wild share two common social habits, they work in packs and are raised in dens. You then may consider that your crate is a modern substitute for a den. Your dog will see this clearly, irrespective of our interpretations. That being said, crate training puppies is a vital part of your overall training.

The really bad part of crates is that they resemble a prison. If you can get past that idea then you can see that crates come in a variety of styles. Some crates are designed to look just like furniture in your home. The importance of crate training puppies comes into its own when we understand that puppies are much the same as children. They tire easily and need a place that is safe, secure and comfortable for them to rest and relax. In the same fashion that we let our kids take a rest, we should do the same for our puppies. When your puppy realizes he has a safe zone where he can relax or take a break from things he will be much happier. You will find that your dog is much happier when he is allowed a time to get away from everything. A good example is when a dog is tired and he needs to rest but the kids still want to play with him. When he cannot get any respite he will become cranky and may even resort to biting the child to tell them to back off. Crate training puppies avoids this situation all together.

Another very important benefit of crate training puppies is that they become easier to travel with. As long as he is safe in his den he will not stress out too much when in the car on the family vacation. This also applies to visiting the vet or having to stay over at the hospitals. The fact that your dog is used to being in a crate will make the entire situation so much less stressful for him.

To understand the specifics of crate training puppies and how to actually train your puppy properly, go to crate training puppies to find the right information of this often misunderstood element of dog training.

There are so many dogs that have the tendency to bite people and dachshund is one of them. Yes, dachshunds have the ability to bite a person and to attach a person. We need many steps and tips of training a dachshund not to bite. Like their regular meal training a dachshund should also be regular in order to give it a proper attitude towards the human being. The very first view that should be kept in mind that first step of training a dachshund is to make them believe that while biting someone they don’t hurt other person but themselves. Because they are bites are not so effective.

While training a dachshund we should not tie them up with a chain because it opposes a stubborn attitude in them. Some dachshund gets this training from their mothers in their early ages. When the dog is in the situation of biting some natural signs occur in them before biting. These signs are that they yelp, rattle their teeth very fast and keep looking to its prey with a very aggressive look. That’s the main situation that we should handle in the training a dachshund not to bite someone. They would show very stupid behavior in response but with the passage of time we will be able to change that attitude very soon.

When we get those signs from the dog, the steps we should take is that like their mother we should show it a good behavior by patting them on their head, commanding them not to bite. Training a dachshund gives you a time to spend with your dog and gives you patience. It’s a natural truth that a dog is always loyal to its owner. So, when you’re training a dachshund it’s the fact that if it bites you for once or twice but after some time it will surely feel it not to bite its owner. Your dog should be loved by you so much in order to stop him of biting everyone including you. The main purpose is to control that aggressive attitude of him before biting.

What is actually a small dog training collar and also just how will you choose the best kind? To resolve the most important question during the simplest manner, that is the device which can be planned for small dogs, specially those that weigh cheaper than 15 pounds. Are you aware that which type of collar is best suited, probably choice would be doable in your case as we first outlined which training collars commonly are not advisable.

A choke chain is one of the oldest and the most common small dog training collar being exercised. However, item, joined with several hard jerking from your trainer is hardly the optimum approach to use on small dogs. In truth, choke collars are actually proven to cause severe neck sprains, temporary foreleg paralysis, and tracheal damage, a few. Choke collars might well be the best option if you wish to certainly be a 100 % certain that your dog can’t slip outside of his collar, yet it is definitely not quite possibly the most humane equipment to make use of in dog training.

A pinch collar is yet another common training equipment. It is usually more advisable than choke collars for replacements in small dog training because it’s called by have saved a considerable amount of dogs’ lives. The fact is that, right now it’s typically the most popular small dog training collar among women, senior citizens, and pet owners with disabilities or injuries. May be given it takes significantly less energy to make your dog answer to a pinch collar rather than to other training collars and equipment.

This small dog training collar could be very effective because its mechanism draws on pure logic. Remove, mother dogs normally nip at their offspring to take care of bad behaviour. The pinch collar, therefore, only mimics a type of correction that the dog could be very knowledgable about, thus making her respond better to it rather than to any other kind of coaching collar. Furthermore, the sort of back of the shirt is made from a qualified veterinarian who knows the simplest way to defend the pup from collar injuries. That you are therefore assured that it is safe and even more humane approach to other training collars.

Of course, you will want to take into account that a pinch collar is just a training tool and it’s intended to be used exclusively during training other than for your dog’s permanent accessory. A good idea is useful to train dogs with tracheas that are able to be easily damaged, such as Dachshunds and Jack Russel Terriers. The pinch collar is a very start in training small dogs, but show up you’ll want to figure out how to talk with your dog even wthout using small dog training collar.

Finding the very best collar particularly little dogs is actually a difficult and delicate task, but once you know which different kinds of collar don’t use, the position of choosing the right collar turns into a great deal easier. The biggest thing is designed for you to always consider your dog’s safety and well-being most importantly other elements and considerations. When you have inked this then everything else will get caught in place.

Hi there,

Are you battling an unruly, rebellious, untrained dog?

On the lookout for a few good dog training tricks tips?

Don’t get where to begin?

I used to be in the same position until I went back to basics and started to understand what my dog really needed – only after that was I in a position to learn how to give it to them. Countless people make the mistaken idea that their dog is way smarter than they really are. In truth, your dog just reacts to you. They want to become part of the pack, they need to be established – your puppy is still an animal but with animal instincts. As soon as I had grasped this simple notion I was able to regulate any negative behaviors by focussing on altering how my furry companion expressed those instincts. I no longer needed to shout at or discipline my dog – and if I can do it then you definitely can too!

Core Dog Training Tricks, Tips

There are a few basic things that you need to know while training your dog that can make the whole procedure a good deal faster and easier across the board.

Crate Training gives your dog home that he can call his own. Be sure that you spend some time ‘at home’ with your dog in his crate so he will get used to it. Trust me , you will see that this extremely useful since using a crate can help later with house breaking, bark reduction, as well as any anxiety problems that your dog may possibly experience.

Leash Training could be a frustrating period for both you and your dog. I discovered it was best to help my dog to achieve a controlled, calm state. That made him much more responsive to instructions without getting carried away about taking a walk. Once out walking there is just one thing to remember – As soon as your pet pulls on the leash , halt and get them to sit unmoving beside you before starting over again. He will immediately discover that not pulling on the leash = a great walk. It really is that easy!

Be The Alpha Dog. I have to confess, I learned this one from Cesar Milan, aka the Dog Whisperer on TV. He made it look very easy – and it truly is! Additionally it is the most effective method I’ve used to maintain harmony around the house. My youngest, Heidi, is a real handful but I can have her sit down, turn over, and submit in barely seconds just by giving her ‘the look’ of assertion. She knows that I am the leader, the pack leader, and can feel secure knowing that I will look after her.

Obedience Training is just not readily available where I live but can be a good supplement to home training. You’ll often find out some great dog training tricks tips from an obedience class no matter if you have got a brand new puppy or are simply having difficulty controlling your adult dog.

The Importance of Consistency

The one thing that all dog training tricks and tips have in common is the need for consistency. Your dog may seem clever, and in many ways he is, nevertheless a great deal of what he learns is through rote learning in reaction to a repeated, consistent environment. If you only make him sit prior to going out when you have time for it, he will become bewildered and excited and cease following your orders. By all means establish rules, but you (and everyone else in your house) must be consistent with them. So that’s about it for my first blog post – I’m sure I have said enough for one ‘session’ – but I’ll be back!

See you again soon,
