Potty training your dog can be a frustrating task but patience and consistency can be great tools for a better potty training experience.

Training Tips:

Punishing your dog afterwards or rubbing their nose in their mess can be very confusing for your dog.

This will help teach your dog that this is where they should go. After they do go, be sure to give them lots of praise and love to let them know they did a good thing.

3.) Puppy crates are a positive thing for your dog; it is like their room or den. It is their space!

Refrain from using the crate as a way to punish your pet. When they are in the crate be attentive to your dog watch for warning signs that they need to go out.

4.) Refrain from using pee pads they can be confusing to your dog.

Pee pads may lead to them peeing on the carpet or blankets. You should always make time to take them outside because you want to teach them to only go outside.

The Best Way To Potty Train A Puppy video where you get Puppy Potty Training and Dog Potty Training advice and tips.

There are some very effective ways to get your dog potty trained or puppy house trained and it can be done in as little as 7 days with the correct advice, tips and training.

Train Any Dog With These General Dog Training Hints

Training a dog is crucial for having an obedient friend. There are good and bad points to dog training, but you’ll have more success if you acquaint yourself with a variety of techniques. Equip yourself by reading the piece that follows.

Leashes can be a new concept for puppies, so have them begin preparing for it by wearing a collar during playtime. It is important for the puppy to get used to the collar so it can be identified.

Your dog needs to pay attention to what you communicate. The guide above has outlined good tips that you could use in training your dog. Take your time and your dog will learn the appropriate behaviors. If you want a dog that listens you must be consistent with them.

Socialization with other people and pets is an important part of your dog’s training. Your dog needs to know how to act around other dogs and humans, and frequent socialization is the only way to teach these skills. This ensures their safety and the safety of others.

You can train a pooch to roll over fairly quickly if you have some treats to hand out. Start by getting the dog to lay down. Then hold the treat at the side of the dog’s head and move it around it’s face to the other side. He’ll follow your hand and roll over completely. Say the command, “roll over” when he rolls over. Be patient if they don’t get it right away; they’ll get it soon enough!

Make sure that your dog stays in a relaxed area. Play time is good to have with your pet, however, your dog should remain calm when you enter the room. Do not acknowledge the animal when you enter and by doing so, you create a controlled atmosphere in which you decide how and when play time begins.

If you follow these tips you should be on your way to having a potty trained pup in 7 days!

Dogs are an extremely valuable part of our society and have been so for quite a long time. They play many vital roles in our lives including that of the friend, companion and protector. It would only stand to reason that we in return must take extremely good care of our pets and show them how much we appreciate the vast amounts of roles which they play. When we are unable to care for the pets every hour of the day, a doggie daycare center is there to help us do so. Here are some things which we should find out about doggie daycare prior to sending our pet there.

Activities

The activities available to our dogs at doggie daycare should be looked into. Usually the dogs can play with other dogs, interact with the staff, attend dog training and obedience courses, enjoy snacks and also take part in occasional rest sessions. Keep in mind that the exact type of activities will depend on the individual facility but these are often included at many facilities.

Facility Setup

The facility setup of one doggie daycare center is often different from the next. Some daycare centers are comprised solely of an indoor layout, where dogs are kept inside the premises of the center, while others have both inside and outside daycare facility areas.

Costs

Doggie daycare centers are priced differently. Some are priced by the day while others accept weekly or monthly payments. For those who know that their pet will stay there every weekday, paying for monthly tuition may be best as this often saves the pet owner money.

These are some of the features which you should consider when looking at different doggie daycare centers for your furry family friend. By doing so you will be able to pick the best option out there.

If you want to effectively train your dog, you must remember that dogs have personalities as well. This means that each dog is different. This is why dogs like and do things that seem un-dog like. For example, my friend’s dog likes bananas. It’s not like he was starving his dog or something. The dog just liked bananas. My point is that the techniques that we share with you will work differently with each dog because every dog has a different personality. So here are some of the pet care and training techniques you will learn.

Effective Dog Training

Your dog’s world is one of smells and action. They do not understand language like we do. So when you start training your puppy or dog, he may not respond to your command or praise. If this is the case, then you need to start using physical praise along with verbal praise for a few months. The physical praise can be in the form of a treat or petting. When your dog starts associating sounds like “Good Girl” or “Good Dog” with the treat, he will learn to recognize it later. After a while, you will notice that he responds to your voice.

Dog Training Using Praise

Your dog loves Praise and Attention. As odd as it may sound, dogs will do anything to get their master’s love and attention. Let me give you an example. A friend once came to me complaining about his mischievous dog. His dog would grab things like shoes and hats then run away with them. He would chew up slippers and shoes even though my friend bought him a variety of toys and treats. His dog would still be a nuisance.

What my friend did not realized is that the dog was trying to get his attention. He never praised his dog when he was doing the things he wanted him to do, such as playing with his toys. Therefore, the dog did things that caused my friend to yell and shout. Always remember to praise your dog for things that you want him to do and ignore him when he does the opposite.

Dog Training Using Toys

You don’t need to spend a small fortune buying toys for your dog. You can practically use anything as a toy. For example, you could use a small plastic bottle, an empty baby powder box, or a cardboard roll from toilet paper. Then categorize the toys into groups.

Category one toys are the ones he likes. Category two toys are the ones he loses interest in quickly. Category one toys are to be used in your dog training methods. Note: Interactive toys are the ones that require you to play with your dog. However, the isolation ones are those that he plays with by himself.

The toys should be put away after play is over and not left lying around. The toys lose their value if they are left lying around. Remember: Never pull a toy from your dog’s mouth. Let him take his time, chew it, and leave it.

Dog Training In Public Places

During your dog training sessions, your dog9 may exhibit fear or aggression when meeting strangers. You should discourage such behavior. Stop him by saying a firm “No” and pat or praise him when he stops. If your dog displays fear, be a little gentler with the “No,” but be firm. With a growling dog, be much more emphatic and stern with your “No!” However, always show love and affection when dog training.

Dog training offers dog owners an easy way to teach their dog obedience and good pet manners. Before you choose a dog training course and get started on the road to perfect pet obedience, it is good to take a look at the benefits and costs associated with dog training.

What Are the Benefits of Dog Training?

There are many benefits to signing your faithful companion up for a dog training course. First, a dog training course will ensure that your pet will listen to commands and be on his/her best behavior. This is essential not only for when the dog is in the house but also out and about with other people and pets. Dog training will also help the pet owner to learn tips on keeping their pet on track. The dog trainer will not only teach the dog commands but also the dog’s owner so that he/she can use the commands at home. Lastly, dog training is not a difficult task. When you choose a reputable dog trainer and the right dog training course, your dog will quickly learn the basics and most likely show improvement each and every class.

In addition to the benefits associated with dog training, you should also know how much it costs. Dog training courses will vary in price but most dog training courses with a number of dogs being trained at the same time will cost less than a one-on-one session with a dog trainer. You may also find that you can receive discounts if you enroll more than one pet in the dog training course. By reviewing your options, you are certain to find plenty of cost effective options with regard to dog training courses.

With the many benefits which go along with dog training and the reasonable costs of dog training courses, it is easy to see why many dog owners enroll their dogs in dog training courses.
