Sit Stay Fetch Review

Sit Stay Fetch is a dog training the most popular Internet and for good reason. The book of 186 pages is divided into several sections, each addressing a different aspect of dog ownership. Each section is divided into 5 or 6 sections and a review of that particular section. The review is particularly sweet, since it condenses the important aspects of each topic on one page for easy reference. This does not mean go to the end of each section is the best way to use this book. There are a lot of information in each section and case studies on specific problems in dogs (aggression, barking, chewing, jumping on furniture, jumping on people, etc)

The first chapters are especially for people considering a dog or who have recently obtained a puppy. These chapters focus on aspects such as choosing a breed, possession, growth stages of the dog, and the choice of your veterinarian. The third chapter is where we start training the dog. The types of training and describes some of the secrets to train a dog. Crate training is also discussed in this field. For people who already have dogs, the first three chapters of the information actually is not very interesting, however, for those who want to buy a dog, these chapters are invaluable.

The fourth chapter provides an overview of how dogs use their senses and how their body language gives an idea of their feelings and attitudes. I found it interesting that dogs can be very expressive and their moods are often neglected by their owners. This chapter also explains how dogs communicate with each other and the similarities between wolves and dogs.

Of the remaining chapters, two are devoted to the problems of dogs, two are dedicated to education levels, and positive and negative aspects of Whispering dog. The two chapters dealing with the problems are two of the longest chapters in the book. The first chapter, with dog behavior problems such as aggression, biting, chewing, digging and barking. The case studies have many issues to demonstrate why a dog can be exposed to these problems. The second chapter, with problems of dog allergies, fleas, Chasing Cars, and jump on people. Again, relevant examples are provided for each section to illustrate the problem at hand.

The chapters on control dogs commands are divided into basic or starting and advanced commands. Some basic commands are “Come,” “Sit,” “Down,” “heel” and “standard” These commands are presented in an easy to follow and can be implemented relatively quickly, with some practice. What I liked is that there is a training program to help train the dog. The section includes advanced commands “Catch”, “Search”, “Shake” and “rollovers. Based on my experience, some of these commands are harder than others to train a dog and is not recommended that the teaching of these commands is started until the dog is older than 6 months and master the basic commands in the chapter by above.

Sit Stay Fetch is a good product that affects many neglected aspects of owning a dog. Even some of the most common problems are discussed and made recommendations on how to solve these problems. I found this book to be organized logically with aspects of learning are more pages, but other areas such as body language and listen a lot “of coverage. The author also does a good job of product support, providing a free newsletter which contains additional tips for solving the problems of the dog. Of course, you need not read all chapters to solve a particular problem, but it’s good to see that it is most common dog problems.

I sit and stay for two paws up!
